Why go into a store to top-up when you can just buy airtime or data on your phone or computer?
SmartMobile has built their website and mobile app so that you, the customer, can have 24/7 access to top-ups at the touch of button! Simply follow the below instructions:
SmartMobile Website Top-Ups Instructions:
- Visit www.smartmobile.co.za and navigate to the top-right hand side of the home page. You’ll see a green ‘Log In’ button.
- Click the ‘Log In’ button and you’ll be directed to the ‘Log In’ page.
- You’ll be asked to insert your SmartMobile cellphone number (otherwise known as your MSISDN). Enter your number and click the ‘Get OTP’ button.
- Once entered, another field will display that askes you to enter a One-Time-PIN (OTP).
- You’ll be sent a One-Time-PIN (OTP) to your SmartMobile SIM via SMS. Simply enter that PIN into the field and click the ‘Log In’ button.
- If you have entered the correct OTP, you’ll be directed to your account page.
- Navigate to the top-up airtime or data bundle tab and select the bundle or airtime amount you’d like to purchase.
- You’ll then be asked how you’d like to pay. You have two options: Pay via SnapScan (app-based payment platform: see SnapScan section below) or via OZOW (Instant EFT payment platform: see OZOW section below).
- Follow the instructions based on the which payment platform you choose and complete the payment process. Once complete, you’ll be redirected to the account page. We’ve included links to videos on how to use both payment platforms below.
- Your top-up may take a few minutes to reflect on your balances tab. Just keep refreshing until is shows.
SmartMobile App Top-Ups Instructions:
- Go to the Google Play store and download the SmartMobile App – download link: http://bit.ly/SmartMobileApp
- Once you have downloaded the app you’ll be asked to register.
- To register, simply enter your SmartMobile cellphone number in the field provided.
- You’ll be sent a One-Time-PIN (OTP) to your SmartMobile SIM via SMS. Simply enter that PIN into the field and click the ‘Log In’ button.
- You’ll be redirected to the home screen of the app.
- Navigate to the top-up airtime or data bundle tab and select the bundle or airtime amount you’d like to purchase.
- You’ll then be asked how you’d like to pay. You have two options: Pay via SnapScan (app-based payment platform: see SnapScan section below) or via OZOW (Instant EFT payment platform: see OZOW section below).
